Genoa 2026: 13 BENETEAU and Lagoon Boats to Explore

The 66th Genoa International Boat Show — Salone Nautico Internazionale — takes place from 1 to 6 October 2026. BENETEAU and Lagoon have announced 13 models between them, from the compact Oceanis 34.1 to the First 60 and spacious Lagoon 60 catamaran.

A brochure makes it easy to compare hull lengths. Stepping aboard answers different questions: can someone pass the cockpit table comfortably, how clearly can you see the quay from the helm, and will guests have enough privacy? Those are good reasons to visit a boat show. Here is our guide to the two brands’ announced line-ups, with a buyer’s priorities in mind.

Under sail: three Oceanis models and the First 60

BENETEAU’s cruising range will include the Oceanis 34.1, Oceanis 47 and Oceanis 52. It is a useful selection if you are still deciding on size: from a boat for a small crew to a yacht where separating sailing, relaxation and cabin space becomes a bigger consideration.

Start with the Oceanis 34.1, then step aboard the 47 and 52. Compare everyday tasks as well as space: reaching the winches, sitting at the helm, using the companionway, moving below deck and stowing luggage. A larger yacht makes sense when the extra volume genuinely improves the way you want to travel.

The First 60 deserves a separate stop for buyers who place the sailing experience high on their list. Look at the working area of the cockpit and how it sits alongside the space for guests. Save judgements about handling for a separate sea trial: a dockside visit cannot replace time under sail.

Motor yachts: Gran Turismo or Swift Trawler?

The Gran Turismo 50 and Swift Trawler 43 Fly make an interesting comparison during the same visit. They are worth seeing together if you are weighing up a sports cruiser against a flybridge trawler.

On the Gran Turismo, picture a day aboard: a passage, lunch in the cockpit, a swim and an evening at anchor. On the Swift Trawler, imagine several days: provisions, luggage, preparing meals and resting underway. Ask what comes as standard on each yacht and which items on the display boat are optional.

Day trips, weekends and coastal cruising

BENETEAU has also announced the Flyer 9 SUNdeck, Antares 9, Antares 11 Coupé and Antares 12 Fly.

The key question here is how often you intend to stay overnight. For day trips, focus on outdoor seating, access to the water and shade. For overnight cruising, spend more time checking the berths, bathroom, ventilation and sheltered living space. These details help distinguish a boat that suits your plans from one that simply looks appealing in photographs.

Lagoon 43, 47 and 60: finding the right scale

Lagoon will display the Lagoon 43, Lagoon 47 and Lagoon 60. Prospective owners can compare three sizes of catamaran at one show.

On the new Lagoon 47, pay attention to the direct passage between the saloon and forward cockpit: stepping aboard is the best way to judge how it changes movement around the boat. On all three models, follow a guest’s route from the quay to a cabin, then to the dining table and swimming area. For family cruising, the ease of those transitions matters just as much as the number of berths.

Make your visit count

  • Choose three priority models. Allow time to revisit your favourite after the first impression has settled.
  • Compare equivalent specifications. Engines, sails, navigation equipment, air conditioning and a tender can substantially change the final budget.
  • Note the practical details. Visibility, steps, handrails, access to equipment and cupboard space are easy to forget among dozens of attractive interiors.
  • Confirm arrangements in advance. Viewing appointments, the availability of a particular yacht and any opportunity for a sea trial need separate confirmation.

For current visitor information and tickets, use the official Salone Nautico website. Check the programme and opening hours before travelling: display boats and access arrangements can change.

Start your shortlist before the trip

Send Boats.in.ua two or three models that interest you and tell us where you plan to cruise and who will be aboard. We can help compare layouts, clarify equipment choices and prepare questions for your visit, so you arrive looking for answers rather than starting from scratch.
